Every year, Paris is transformed into an open-air art gallery for Nuit Blanche, this June 1, 2024. And once again this year, this unique celebration invites city dwellers and visitors alike to discover one-of-a-kind artistic performances and installations, enlivening the city from dusk until dawn. One of the highlights of this year's edition will undoubtedly be Raphaël Barontini's"Déboulé céleste" performance, to be held on theÎle aux Cygnes, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. Get ready to plunge into a universe where art meets tradition and activism in a dazzling procession!
TheÎle aux Cygnes, an iconic and picturesque Parisian landmark, lies in the heart of the Seine, extending its quiet charm under the shadows of lined-up trees and in the shadow of the replica Statue of Liberty. For the occasion, this idyllic setting becomes the stage for"Déboulé céleste", a processional performance in three movements. From 9pm to midnight, the allée des Cygnes is transformed into a dynamic space where Guadeloupe's carnival traditions merge with Afro-diasporic elements, creating an immersive experience that reflects the struggles and celebrations of Afro-Caribbean cultures.
So, not only will you witness the nocturnal splendor of Paris, but you'll also participate in a profound and meaningful cultural experience. A true celebration of heritage, a tribute to liberation movements, and an exploration of new forms of artistic expression. A magical and inspiring Nuit Blanche!
