Valentine's Day 2021 in Paris: the Peninsula's romantic takeaway dinner menu

Valentine's Day is a time for fine dining. Despite restaurant closures, it's still possible to treat yourself to a menu concocted in some of the capital's finest kitchens. The Peninsula is one of the hot addresses inviting its guests to Paris' lovers' haunt, unveiling its romantic dinner for Valentine's Day 2021, available for delivery or takeaway.

To celebrate lovers, chef David Bizet has devised a gourmet menu featuring the finest seasonal flavors. It begins with atruffle puff pastry and a mimolette gougère asamuse-bouche. This is followed by a choice of king crab with lemon water and tangy floral, or salt-crusted leek with agaric mimosa, black truffle and peppery essence. For the second course, the chef proposes ascallop carpaccio with mango, ginger and green shiso.

For the main course, the Peninsula offers a choice of turmeric-glazed Saint-Pierre with carrot, orange and crispy buckwheat, or Sénateur Couteaux-style beef with foie gras, black truffle cabbage maki and helianth. Finally, to end this tasting experience on a sweet note, the Peninsula offers you its sweet delight to share, featuring a citrus cream, orange blossom, kumquat and caramelized pine nuts.

This dinner is available in two formulas. The Romance menu at 145€ per person includes a half-bottle of Deutz Amour rosé champagne (37.5cl) and a red rose, while the Elegance menu at 190€ per person includes a bottle of the same champagne and 50 grams of Nordique caviar.

In both cases, delivery is offered in Paris and 22 communes in the inner suburbs: Levallois-Perret, Neuilly-sur-Seine, Issy-Les-Moulineaux, Montrouge, Vanves, Boulogne-Billancourt, Malakoff, Gentilly, Ivry-sur-Seine, Le Kremlin-Bicêtre, Montreuil, Saint-Ouen, La Défense, Bagnolet, Les Lilas, Aubervilliers, Le Pré Saint-Gervais, Pantin, Saint-Mandé, Charenton-le-Pont, Vincennes and La Plaine Saint-Denis. Delivery is between 6pm and 8pm on February 13 and 14. Pick-up at the Peninsula is available between 11.30am and 5pm on the same dates.
