Welcome to Suburbicon, a film written and directed by George Clooney based on a script sent to him by the Coen brothers in 1999, hits your screens on December 6, 2017.
Set in the late '50s, the film is part comedy, part drama, and the storyline is inspired by real events that took place in Lewittown in 1957 when William and Daisy Meyers, the first African-American family, arrived in Levittown.
Synopsis:
Suburbicon is a quiet little residential town with affordable homes and impeccably manicured lawns, the perfect place for family life. In the summer of 1959, all residents seem to be living the American dream in this slice of paradise. Yet beneath the tranquil surface, within the walls of the townhouses, lies a very different reality of lies, betrayal, deception and violence... Welcome to Suburbicon.
