Max, Pompon, Duke and the others are back! Comme des Bêtes 2, directed by Chris Renaud, was released in cinemas on July 31, 2019 and will be available on Prime Video from July 1, 2024. This highly-anticipated animated film was the follow-up to the first installment in the saga signed by the Minions and Me, Ugly and Mean studios.

Synopsis: Fox-Terrier Max is facing a major upheaval: his owner Katie has married and had an adorable baby, Liam. Max is so obsessed with looking after the boy that he develops obsessive behavioral problems. On a family outing to a farm, Max and fat Duke are introduced to cows with canine intolerances, hostile foxes and a monstrous turkey, which doesn't help Max's behaviour. Fortunately, he's going to get some advice from old Rico. This seasoned farm dog pushes him to overcome his neuroses, find his inner Alpha and let little Liam breathe.

Meanwhile, while her master is away, Giget, the little Pomeranian Loulou, tries to rescue Max's favorite toy from a cat-infested apartment with the help of the imposing Chloe, who has become completely addicted to catnip.

Pompon, the adorable little bunny, thinks he has superpowers since his owner Molly bought him a pair of superhero pajamas. But when Daisy, a reckless Shih Tzu, comes to take him on a dangerous mission, he'll have to summon all his courage to become the hero he was only fantasizing about.

Our opinion on Comme des Bêtes 2:

Comme des Bêtes 2 is a film full of humor and "cuteness" (according to my 6-year-old son). Our little four-legged heroes are disturbingly realistic, and their behavior is, once again, very well imitated.

As the synopsis suggests, the story unfolds in two truly distinct parts. On the one hand, there's Max, who has to face up to his new life and learn to let Liam grow up without being constantly on the lookout. Parents find themselves very much in this part of the story: how do we help our children to flourish while keeping them safe? On the other hand, our hero's friends go on a rescue mission in New York.

In short, Comme des Bêtes 2 is a very funny cartoon, mixing love, action and adventure! You'll come away happy and full of energy. The kids are unanimous: Super Pompon is definitely their favorite character!
