For some 60 years now, the Reflet Medicis has been dedicated to cinema. In its early days, this former night owl 's theater was dedicated to theatrical performances. It was during the 60s that the change took place, and the theater was transformed into a cinema dedicated to art house cinema, a guiding principle still present today. The program includes cinema classics, documentaries and exclusives, all shown in VO. The Reflet Medicis also hosts weekly debates and meetings with film crews, specialists and critics. And every year, film festivals come back to present foreign films (Polish, American...) or retrospectives such as"Un certain regard" at the Cannes Film Festival, which rewards the most original films by lesser-known filmmakers.
Located on rue Champollion in the Latin Quarter, Reflet Medicis is truly at the heart of art-house cinema history. In fact, it's surrounded by two other leading art-house cinemas: Le Champo and the Filmothèque du quartier Latin on the same street.
Alongside it, discover a host of cultural attractions, all within a 10-minute walk:the Médicis fountain, the Luxembourg Gardens, the Odéon theater and the Procope, the oldest bar in Paris.
