Summer in Paris is open-air cinema season! It's a tradition we love, and one we make a point of respecting whenever possible. For the fourth year running, the Musée de l'Air et de l' Espace is offering its Ciné Tarmac, an open-air cinema where you can watch a film projected onto... a plane! Comfortably installed on our deckchairs, facing a Boeing 747, we discover the greatest films of the 7th art linked to space and aviation.
For this new edition, the Musée du Bourget invites us to three exceptional sessions from July 5 to 7, 2024. Ciné Tarmac kicks off at 7:30pm, with rocket challenges, a water rocket and rover workshop, planetarium sessions on the extremes of space, themed guided tours and the opportunity to discover theexhibition of the moment, on Antoine de Saint-Exupéry !
It's at dusk, between 9pm and 10.30pm, that things get serious... We settle down in deckchairs on the tarmac, with our popcorn, to enjoy the film of the day, projected onto a plane, no less! After an experience like this, you're going to find the classic movie screen a bit commonplace.
In order to welcome visitors in the best possible way and ensure that everyone has a seat, it is no longer possible to buy tickets on site! You will need to reserve your seats in advance via the online ticketing service, which is due to open shortly. The ticket includes the film screening, access to the museum's halls and airplanes, as well as the various activities organized for the event.
And the icing on the cake: the museum offers a free shuttle bus at the end of the session, so you can easily get back to Gare du Nord! And if it's raining, don't panic: the screening is not cancelled, but shown in the Hall Concorde.
