After having thrilled the audience at the Grand Rex with the discussion of his book Cinema Speculations, Quentin Tarantino continues his promotional tour with a stop at the Cannes Film Festival. The filmmaker will be the guest of honor at the Quinzaine des Cinéastes, the festival's parallel competition.
As the Fortnight explains in a tweet, the director of Kill Bill, Django Unchained, or Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will come to discuss cinema (we bet on the New Hollywood, the theme of his book), and present a"surprise film". And who says surprise, obviously says that we have no details on this film. There is little chance that it will be a work shot by Tarantino himself (unless it is a short film produced in secret), since he is currently working on the pre-production of The Movie Critic, his final film.
As Tarantino is the most experienced movie lover in Hollywood, we think it could be a work related to his book, or a little-known feature film that would have particularly marked him.
