Àma Gloria, the dramatic film directed by Marie Amachoukeli, has been selected to open Critics' Week at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2023. This French feature follows the touching story of six-year-old Cleo and her nanny Gloria, who must return to Cape Verde.
The film features Cléo (played by Louise Mauroy-Panzani) and Gloria (played by Ilça Moreno), who share a very strong relationship. When Gloria has to rush off to Cape Verde to join her children, Cléo asks her to keep a promise: to see each other again as soon as possible. Gloria invites Cléo to spend one last summer together, with her family and on her island.

The film is directed by Marie Amachoukeli, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Pauline Guena. The cast is completed by Abnara Gomes Varela, adding an authentic dimension to the story.
In short, Marie Amachoukeli 's Àma Gloria is a touching dramatic film that promises to move and captivate audiences when it hits cinemas on August 30, 2023.
