Summer 2023 will see the release of Netflix's animated film NIMONA, with a star-studded cast and new images revealed.

This summer of 2023, Netflix will present the highly anticipated NIMONA, an animated film based on ND Stevenson's best-selling graphic novel. The story follows Ballister Boldheart, a knight accused of a murder he didn't commit, and Nimona, a shapeshifter on a mission to help him prove his innocence.

Today, Netflix confirmed that for the original version, Chloë Grace Moretz (Nimona), Riz Ahmed (Ballister Boldheart) and Eugene Lee Yang (Ambrosius Goldenloin) would be joined by Frances Conroy, Lorraine Toussaint, Beck Bennett, RuPaul Charles, Indya Moore, Julio Torres and Sarah Sherman. The film is directed by Nick Bruno and Troy Quane and will be available in the summer of 2023.

NIMONA transports us to a futuristic medieval world where a knight, Ballister Boldheart, is accused of a crime he did not commit. The only person who can help him prove his innocence is Nimona, a mischievous teenager who may be the shapeshifting monster he has sworn to destroy. The screenplay is written by Robert L. Baird and Lloyd Taylor, with a story developed by several other writers, including Pamela Ribon, Marc Haimes, Nick Bruno, Troy Quane and Keith Bunin.

Fans of ND Stevenson 's graphic novel can't wait to see this adaptation on screen, and the newly unveiled images promise an animated film rich in color and emotion. It remains to be seen if the film will be able to captivate the audience and offer an experience that lives up to expectations.
