The Franck Dubosc / Karin Viard duo promises to be a great success, given their popularity. They will be co-starring for the first time in Nouveau Départ, a comedy due in cinemas on September 27.
Directed by Philippe Lefebvre (TF1's Sam series), the film will reunite the two actors as a couple at the end of their tether, who decide to leave each other and eventually find each other again.
Alain and Diane have been together for 30 years. In his mind, Alain is still 30. But the equation of 30 years, a routine of feelings, an empty nest (and, incidentally, a job where turning 50 is akin to an incurable disease) is having a far less euphoric effect on Diane. She oscillates between depression and free-fall - and the first person who says "hormonal" she smokes. Alain loves Diane like crazy, and love is all about proof. He's going to do something crazy for her, something to restore her vitality, make her heart beat and her youth pulsate. The crazy thing? Leave her. The risk with electroshock therapy? Archiconnu: either it wakes you up, or it burns you out. They'll take it, eyes closed.
