Creation of the Gods, the Chinese blockbuster in French cinemas this summer 2024

The scale of the international craze for Creation of the Gods is undeniable, with a worldwide box office profit of $372 million. This exceptional financial performance has propelled the film into the heavyweights of the film industry. After an exclusive screening on February 10 and 11, French moviegoers will be able to discover the film once again for its official theatrical release on July 10, 2024.

The film follows the adventures of Prince Yin Shou, aspirant to the throne of the Shang kingdom, and his mistress Su Daji, under the sway of the Fox Demon. To remain faithful to the original legend, the scriptwriters also worked on characters with strong character traits, such as the Taoist sage Jiang Ziya and the young warrior Ji Fa, who unite to thwart the tyrant's plans.

Creation of the Gods draws its distinctive charm from its origin as an adaptation of one of China's greatest legends. The film promises an in-depth immersion in rich Chinese folklore, a real discovery for fans of Asian mythology and culture.
