Extraordinary returns with Máiréad Tyers as Jen, a young woman on a quest to discover her unique power in a world where everyone has one... except her. except her. The end of the first season left her at the power clinic, full of hope, but also doubt. The trailer for the second season gives a glimpse of the new adventures and challenges Jen and her friends will face.
Jen's journey is complicated by the adventures of her boyfriend, ex-cat Jizzlord (played by Luke Rollason), and the attempts of Kash (played by Bilal Hasna) and Carrie(Sofia Oxenham) to navigate their post-breakup lives while living under the same roof. The series promises new chaotic and hilarious situations, testifying to the vagaries of adulthood and the search for oneself.
The second season welcomes a number of new faces, including Julian Barrett as George, Jen's trainer at the clinic, Rosa Robson as Nora, an old acquaintance of Jizzlord's, Kwaku Mills as Clark, Carrie's new colleague, and the voice of Derek Jacobi in a mysterious role. Siobhán McSweeney and Robbie Gee also return, playing Mary and Ian, Jen's mother and stepfather.
Under the direction of Toby McDonald and Jennifer Sheridan,"Extraordinary " stands out for its humor and its ability to tackle universal themes with lightness and originality. The series is an exploration of coming of age, of feeling ordinary in a world of the extraordinary, and of the never-ending quest for identity and purpose.
Extraordinary season 2 promises to be a must-see sequel for anyone looking to laugh, be moved and identify with deeply human characters, despite the fantastic setting. This fresh sitcom is scheduled to return on March 6, 2024.
