Ciné Relax, cinema screenings adapted for people with disabilities at Les 7 Parnassiens

Les 7 Parnassiens is part of the Ciné Relax program, which aims to make culture accessible to people who are deprived of it by their disability (people with autism, multiple disabilities, intellectual or cognitive disabilities, psychological disorders, Alzheimer's disease).

Every month, the cinema in the Montparnasse district of Paris offers an inclusive screening. Note that this is not the only cinema taking part in the operation. You can find the list of cinemas taking part in Ciné Relax on the official website. Other partner cinemas include Majestic Passy,UGC Ciné Cité Bercy andUGC Ciné Cité Paris 19.

So what's so different about these cinema screenings for people with disabilities? A Ciné Relax screening is an ordinary screening adapted to accommodate people whose disability may lead to atypical behavior.

The next screening takes place on September 21, 2024 at 3:30 pm at Les 7 Parnassiens, in a room accessible to PRM, with the screening of Jaques Demy's Les Demoiselles de Rochefort in an audio-described and subtitled version. Subsequent screenings at Les 7 Parnassiens will take place on November 23, December 14, 2024, January 11, February 1, March 15, May 17 and June 28, 2025.
