With 6 dates from June 6 to 16, 2024 and in 6 different venues in and around Paris, the 20th edition of the Festival des Nouveaux Cinémas invites itself to the capital and echoes cinematic digital creativity. With a selection of short films from all over the world, the festival offers a revealing panorama of the talent and effervescence of the industry.
The Festival des Nouveaux Cinémas is a series of free screenings open to all, held in independent cinemas and key cultural establishments in Paris such as Université Paris Cité, Cinéma Le Grand Action and Université Sorbonne-Nouvelle. Each screening is followed by a panel discussion with the film crews and personalities from the film and audiovisual world. In some cases, a cocktail reception closes the evening, allowing everyone - audiences and professionals alike - to discuss the films and their shared passion for cinema.
Continuing what has made this event so special, the Nouveaux Cinémas project plays an active role in digital creation, producing a short film each year after a screenplay competition, to be screened as a film of honor during the Festival. This year's winner is Champagne by Hector Ouzilleau.
