You like fashion? And History too? Well then, grab your datebook because a Paris is about to accommodate a pop-up store linking your two passions. Garde Robe d’une Parisienne (Parisian’s wardrobe) is the name of this new spot dedicated to vintage fashion that will welcome you from September 18 to October 1, 2071.
The Testeur de Commerce de la Semaest – an incubator for new stores in Paris – will accommodate this unique pop-up store. Actually, Garde Robe d’une Parisienne is first and foremost a brand created by Véronique Tournemine whose creations are truly unique.
The designer enjoys revisiting vintage pieces by collecting offcuts from French fabric houses she uses to create trendy pieces. She transforms pieces, turning a blouse into a dress, a coat into a skirt and the icing on the cake: clothes created by the designer are unique. In one word, she’s an adept of reforming.
You can discover these creations at this pop-up shopping store. But, that’s not all since you are also offered to have a look at the history of vintage fashion in a “museum” corner thanks to an exhibition displaying Véronique Tournemire’s pieces.
You can also take part in workshops held every day from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. so that you can return to the striking years of the fashion History and the flagship fabrics. And to make the best of your shopping experience, you can walk around, from corners to corners to find vintage pieces from high-waisted pants (still trendy) to haute couture pieces and buy designers’ clothes from the 60s to the 80s. You can also buy unique pieces from the brand Garde Robe d’une Parisienne inspired by various eras: from the 30s to the 80s.
