This Fall 2021, Printemps Haussmann is now turning to circular economy. First with the “le beau responsable” label guaranteeing compliance with 22 exhaustive criteria. Even though almost 400 brands displayed can already enjoy this label, it is to be extended to support the brand’s effort in some areas such as fair trade and solidarity trade, social commitment, local commitment and promoting know-how and innovation, produces used and animal’s welfare.
According to Printemps group Communications and Marketing Director Stephane Roth, “cocreating with brands committing themselves to providing an always bigger sustainable offer to consumers, so is Printemps’s project with the ‘Unis vers le beau responsable’ label”.
Beside this more formalized label, Printemps Haussmann 7th floor is being revolutionized. The 1,300sqm that was still hiding the board offices a few months ago is now revealing very beautiful patched up clothes, perfectly restored, to bargain-hunt for a smaller price, as well as pop-up stores for committed brands.
Here, unlike Galeries Lafayette nearby, one aims at the extra luxury, at least in the thrift store corner called “2e Printemps”. Picture this: jewelry pieces for €500, bags and gowns for €1000 and accessories such as bags for hundreds of euros. These exceptional pieces are all designed by the greatest fashion designers and seen on shows. This exceptional place is also highlighted by the magnificent cupola by Charles Kaisin made of 12,000 origami metal birds rekindling the glass roof from the 30’s of the Pont d’Argent in Printemps!
The corner dedicated to brands and houses working for more sustainable consumption is not left out. Designer Jordane Saget provides an infinite ode with a giant wood structure adorning the ceiling of this circular place. It features – among others – the brand Brut for a casual chic look, Bonâge for children, and Made In Design for home décor. Docteur Sneakers team is also here to customize your trainers or take them back to life.
A very vintage pop-up store also takes you back to the 50’s, very retro and fashionable!
And if you happen to have vintage pieces to sell, Printemps teams are here to give you a price within 24 hours and give you a voucher of the estimated amount you can use in Printemps stores. Your piece of clothing or accessory will be then put to sale on the rails of the Pont d’Argent. And you can even let a note for the next owner, to tell them where the piece comes from or a funny story. A transmission mode and a poetic fashion to pass the mantle.
