Natalie Portman dazzled the Cannes Film Festival 2023 with a magical Dior creation this Saturday, May 20. The actress appeared wearing a replica of the Juno dress, an iconic model designed by Christian Dior for the fall-winter 1949 Haute Couture collection. The original piece, a dress in white tulle and petals embroidered with blue sequins by the House of Rébé, is on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. A work of goldsmith reinterpreted by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the artistic director of Dior, for the festival.
Much more than a gala dress, it is a true tribute to the history and elegance of Haute Couture that Natalie Portman wore for this fifth evening. A modern reissue, drawn from the archives of Dior, which is also a delicate and evocative wink to the outfits of the star dancer in the cult film "Black Swan".
Saturday night, the actress walked up the steps of the festival to present the film"May December", surrounded by Cory Michael Smith, Charles Melton, Julianne Moore and director Todd Haynes. Natalie Portman captivated all eyes and confirmed once again her status as afashion icon.
A red carpet look that will remain engraved in the annals of style!
