The 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival will be held from May 14 to 24, 2024. At a press conference on Thursday April 11, the selection of films in and out of competition was unveiled. Among them, the films vying for the prestigious Palme d'Or! Thierry Frémaux, general delegate of the Cannes Film Festival, announced that a handful of films could be added to the various sections in the coming days.
The jury, presided over by Greta Gerwig, will have the tough task of choosing between the films in competition to award the Palme d'Or 2024 on May 25. In addition to the Palme d'Or, other awards will be presented at the end of the festival, including the Grand Prix, the Prix de la mise en scène, the Prix du scénario, the Prix du jury, and the Prix d'interprétation féminine et masculine.
