This historic brand, once a must for milliners, has managed to preserve its precious stocks, purchased from factories in Northern France and rescued from the rubble of the Second World War. Today, the brand still boasts 2 emblematic boutiques on either side of rue de Choiseul, in the 2nd arrondissement.

Alas, 3 rue de Choiseul, victim of a real estate takeover, is forced to close its doors. Most of its treasures of yesteryear, such as antique ribbons, curtain tiebacks, braids, bangs, vintage grosgrain, Italian straws and rabbit-hair felt for hats, as well as antique voilettes, are looking for passionate new buyers. Some of these unique pieces were even destined for the Queen of England!

But rest assured, this isn't a farewell to Ultramod's treasures, just a reduction in stock - because there's plenty of it! The rest of the marvels, along with the shop's century-old furniture, will join the boutique at 4 rue de Choiseul and a brand new showroom, ready to continue their mission: inspiring couture enthusiasts and designers the world over.
