The small brand opens its second boutique in Paris, in the fashionable Saint-Honoré district. Here, we discover the creations of a striking duo, Victoria Hernando, a former model, and Gildas Pennec, a designer who cut his teeth at Christian Lacroix and Olivier Lapidus.
For summer 2015, Margareth&Moi invites women to become the actresses in a Petit Théâtre de la Mode, with creations inspired by the 1945s, when designers imagined fashion pieces for miniature dolls.
The creations feature a slight shift in proportions, to evoke those wire dolls dressed in thick fabrics: designed in France, the outfits are timeless, and respect the heritage of grande couture. From wide, flat-fronted shirts with their surprising fullness, black organzas scratched with blue on a large skirt, crepe de chine for the oriental skirt, to Renaissance gowns made with raspberry-pink washed gazar, the creations are enchanting.
Margareth&Moi won the Grand Prix de la création de la Ville de Paris in 2004, and awaits us in its new confidential boutique 14 rue de la Sourdière.
