Alert! Taste of Paris is back from May 12 to 15, 2022. Are you into desserts and pastries? Then, you must discover the best, from palace desserts to major houses’ pastries, here are all the treats and indulging delights available this year.

Are you already quivering just to the idea you will get the chance to taste the creations dishes and desserts by Paris chefs? Taste of Paris is the event allowing you to discover the greatest restaurants and indulging spots in the city. This edition’s program gives pride of place to pâtissiers and a beautiful menu is available. The problem is now to make a choice!

Starting with Maison Ladurée, discover Julien Alvarez’s gorgeous creations. Honestly, everything tastes good, you can go with your eyes closed. The crunchy and light raspberry tartlet is to die for; the fresh iced kiwi and yogurt treat is ideal to cool off with yumminess; and the pistachio gem unveils a light and very indulging core.

The Eclair vanille – Vanilla Éclair – with very elegant Opalys white chocolate tab and striking flavor (€6).

The delicious “Kiwi de l’Adour, pomme verte, herbes fraîches” – or Kiwi from Adour, green apple, fresh herbs – and its light vanilla yogurt cream, very fresh (€12).

The surprising “Pépite pistache fleur d’Oranger” – or Pistachio and orange blossom nugget – with very comforting runny praline core (€8).

The delicate “Tartelette framboise, doux parfum rose et miel” – or Raspberry tartlet, soft flavor of rose and honey – with fresh raspberries and floral flavors (€8).

To discover the process behind Ladurée’s exclusive creations, “Taste of Paris” and especially Julien Alvarez’s raspberry tartlet, do not miss the masterclass held on Saturday May 14, from noon to 12:30 p.m. at the Théâtre Laurent-Perrier. Get the live recipe and tasting at the end of the session, of course.

What about palaces, then?

At the Royal Monceau, Quentin Lechat comes up with 3 creations: a strawberry and whipped cream tart, a thick and indulging Carré Chocolat and the delicious Perle Vanille you must try. Vanilla caviar, vanilla praline core and lemon form this creation. From €8 to €10.

For the Crillon, Matthieu Carlin plays the freshness card and serves his rhubarb and strawberry with dill from Brittany. Picture this: crunchy rhubarb, light mousse and the minty taste of dill from Britanny, so good. Price: €6.

As for the Lutetia, Nicolas Guercio goes all out with scrumptiousness with a hearty Rocher and runny praline (€8) reminding us of his revisited Paris-Brest. Enjoy a hazelnut, almond and vanilla praline chou pastry in several textures.

Moving on to the Bristol, Pascal Hainigue plays the cards of freshness, yumminess and show. Will you resist the pistachio Paris-Brest (€8) flavored with orange blossom? We fell in love with the 100% Noisette – or 100% Hazelnut – that is a must (€8). And for people craving something fresh, the chef serves a minute-made dessert thanks to nitrogen. Strawberry in all its states or Fraise dans tous ses états (€12), from ice cream to the fruit.
