Salon Wenhua 2024: a Christmas market to discover Asian cultures

Come and enjoy a designer Christmas market, several exhibitions and a rich program of activities that will introduce you to Asian cultures, in a former 17th-century mansion! Salon Wenhua takes place on November 30 and December 1, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

For its 3rd edition, Salon Wenhua welcomes you for a festive weekend of discovery of Asian cultures. On the program: two unique exhibitions, a large market of designers andcompanies to satisfy all your desires, and a rich and varied program of activities for young and old that will take you on a journey through Asia, from China to Japan, via Vietnam...

With Christmas just a few weeks away, you'llbe able to meet some forty exhibitors and partners from France and abroad to share their knowledge, expertise and passion with you! Artists, restaurateurs, designers, businesses, associations, all united for one weekend!

Imagine the chance to meet all these people and discover all they have to offer. China, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan... Asia makes an appointment with you to give you the best it has to offer! You'll also find plenty of gift ideas for the coming Christmas season!

This event is organized by the Espace Rive Gauche association, which is keen to offer you a variety of events throughout the year, enabling you to discover Asian cultures in a fun and festive way!

This year's program at Wenhua:

Calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting workshops,
Vietnamesemartial arts workshops,
Concerts: a Japanese concert, a concert by the Franco-Chinese choir Chin'harmonie,
Tea and food workshops
Matcha ceremonies accompanied by wagashi pastries,
Traditional clothing fittings: Japanese kimono and Chinese hanfu,
Shows and demonstrations of Chinese dance, opera and circus,
Japanese storytelling,
Book signings,
And lots more surprises to discover on the big day!

Special event: Wines & Teas under the Moon - Saturday 30/11 from 5pm to 7pm! As part of the Salon Wenhua, the Espace Rive Gauche association will be offering a wine and tea tasting workshop based on the Asian calendar of the 24 periodic seasons. Join them in an intimate setting to discover the two teas and one wine selected by sommelier Mademoiselle Jaja and tea scout Retour des Montagnes Jaunes! You'll be able to discover this rich association between two beverages that are very popular in their respective cultures, very different but also full of mysterious and rich parallels!
