Paris is enjoying novelties 2.0 to show an exclusive aspect to locals and tourists. So, on the panoramic terrace of the Arc de Triomphe will be set very soon two virtual reality terminals created by Timescope.
Curious people can discover two short films about the history of Paris. The first one is a historical reenactment of the retour des cendres [return of the ashes] of Napoleon on December 15, 1840. A national homage took place and thousands of French people accompanied the funeral procession when it went under the Arc de Triomphe.
Timescope teams have carried out a big pre-production work relying on historic archives such as iconographic documents, engravings and even original maps. The viewer is taken to the heart of the event of the retour des cendres of Napoleon in VR!
The second movie, produced by Timescope, takes us to the day after France won the 2018 FIFA World Cup thanks to pictures shot that very day by a 360° shooting device. The occasion to experience again this festive moment of celebration at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe.
We still don’t know when the two VR terminals will be set up so, stay tuned to find out!
