Paris La Défense Arena opened its doors in October 2017, marking the start of a new era for cultural and sporting events in the Paris Region. This impressive arena, considered Europe's largest indoor venue, is the fruit of an ambitious project that came to fruition thanks to the collaboration of multiple players, ranging from renowned architects to music and sports enthusiasts.
The architecture of the Paris La Défense Arena, a symbol of modernity, is by Christian de Portzamparc. With its distinctive glass façade and elegant curves, the Paris La Défense Arena stands like an architectural jewel in the skyline of La Défense, in the Hauts-de-Seine region of France.
The hall is perfectly equipped to host a variety of events. It is designed as a modular, multi-purpose venue capable of accommodating 15,289 spectators in rugby stadium mode, and up to 40,000 in concert mode.
While Paris La Défense Arena is the home stadium of Racing 92, the Paris region's Top 14 rugby club, it is also regularly used for many other sporting events, such as Supercross. For the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the venue will also host the water polo finals.
When it comes to concerts, Paris la Défense Arena has already honored many national and international stars, including the Rolling Stones for the inauguration in 2017, but also Paul McCartney, Pink, Mylène Farmer, Rammstein, Guns N'Roses or even 50 Cent, Imagine Dragons and Bigflo & Oli.
