Art, the celebrated play that won two Molières in 1995 (Best Author and Best Private Show), returns to the stage of the prestigious Théâtre Montparnasse from August 27, 2025, in a new production by François Morel .
Written in 1994 by Yasmina Reza and starring Pierre Vaneck, Fabrice Luchini and Pierre Arditi, it now features equally talented actors Olivier Broche, Olivier Saladin and François Morel , with the latter's direction. Translated into over 30 languages, the play is a worldwide success, and a must-see if you've missed it so far!
Art is the story of three men, Serge(Olivier Broche), Marc(François Morel) and Yvan(Olivier Saladin), true friends for 30 years, whose friendship is suddenly shaken when Serge buys a white monochrome painting for what his friends consider an exorbitant sum. The painting quickly becomes a bone of contention, revealing previously unspoken differences between the three friends.
The art of argument is put to good use in a playful text that debates contemporary art with great humor! A subject that's always topical. If you haven't yet seen Art, or if you'd like to see it again, you'll have to wait until August 27, when the play directed by Francois Morel opens at Théâtre Montparnasse .
