After several years of triumph, the show Les Chatouilles ou la Danse de la Colère, dealing with the very serious subject of child sexual abuse, is on at the Théâtre de l' Atelier from April 11 to June 1, 2024. Andréa Bescond returns to the stage in her one-woman show.
Les Chatouilles ou la Danse de la Colère is Andréa Bescond 's first show. The success of the play led the author to perform her show all over France and in several Paris venues, including Théâtre La Bruyère, Petit Montparnasse and Théâtre Antoine. An actress and dancer in her own show, Andrea Bescond has received several awards for her performance: the SACD's "Jeune talent théâtre" prize, the Avignon Festival's Best Actress award, the 2016 Molière for Seule en scène, and she was the winner of theAcadémie française 's Prix du jeune théâtre in 2016. In November 2018, the show was even adapted into a film by Eric Métayer and Andréa Bescond, who plays Odette.
Directed by Eric Métayer, Les Chatouilles ou la Danse de la Colère, tells the story of a young dancer, Odette, who experienced sexual abuse by her family from the age of 8. The show shows Odette's struggle to rebuild her life.
