In 1999, auditions began for the young actor who would play Harry Potter and achieve worldwide fame. Hundreds of boys tried their luck, but only two finalists were chosen. Number 2 tells the little-known story of the one who wasn't chosen: Martin Hill.
On stage, two actors and an actress play around thirty roles, to best tell us the story of Martin Hill 's life . With discreet touches and more explicit accessories, Numéro 2 's sets and costumes are inspired by the world of Harry Potter.
Inspired by the novel by David Foenkinos, the play is not based on real events, but is a fictionalized version in which the author imagined the fate of the second boy. After researching theHarry Pottercastings, the author realized that Daniel Radcliffe was chosen because he had "a little something extra". A simple sentence can change a person's destiny, as theplay Number 2 tells us...
