For D'days 2017, the Arts Décoratifs have invited a dozen designers, creators of beauty in the useful, to put the spotlight on play! See you from May 2 to 14, 2017 for some great discoveries.

Rendezvous given from May 2 to 14, 2017 in the Nave of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs for D'days 2017! This year, the Festival du Design takes on unprecedented proportions, bringing together 15 exhibitions in a single venue, a huge playground imagined by the designers of the moment!

For D Days 2017, the winners of the Audi Talents Awards present Papier Machine: le secret des boîtes noires". This first project consists of a notebook featuring thirteen electronic paper toys, ready to be cut, colored, folded, assembled or torn. Screen-printed with inks having different electrical properties, these toys demonstrate that behind the magic of our machines lies a world of materials, shapes, colors, stories and even smells.

For the first time in France, the Centre national des arts plastiques presents Nathalie Pozzi and Eric Zimmerman's FLATLANDS, created in 2010 and acquired in 2015. FLATLANDS is a selection of 180 game boards, from the most traditional to the most bizarre, offering a journey through pop culture and the history of gaming. The idea is to play and then debate the aesthetic qualities and ideological content of each board with a judge/arbitrator who decides between the arguments of the two players: his word is law.

In the symbolic image of the witness passed from hand to hand, this creation presents the trajectory of the School, from its creation by Jean-Jacques Bachelier in 1766 to the present day.
