Once again, the Petit Palais dedicates an exhibition to a Swedish artist. After discovering Carl Larsson in 2014, it’s now time to pay homage to Anders Zorn (1860-1920) said as the “master of Swedish painting”. From September 15, 2017 to December 17, 2017.

1906. here is the date of the latest Anders Zorn exhibition in France. Over a century later, it’s about time to rediscover this excellent Swedish artist who lived for 60 years from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. When looking at his paintings, we see themes dear to his era: daily life of the high society, popular traditions, trips to Europe, etc.

From the Swedish forest to the Grand Canal in Venice, the man shows his talents of painter and watercolor artist with the same virtuosity. Precise, attentive, he endeavors to depict delicate scenes where female models are given pride of place.
