1906. here is the date of the latest Anders Zorn exhibition in France. Over a century later, it’s about time to rediscover this excellent Swedish artist who lived for 60 years from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. When looking at his paintings, we see themes dear to his era: daily life of the high society, popular traditions, trips to Europe, etc.
From the Swedish forest to the Grand Canal in Venice, the man shows his talents of painter and watercolor artist with the same virtuosity. Precise, attentive, he endeavors to depict delicate scenes where female models are given pride of place.
The Petit Palais brings together 150 works (paintings, watercolors, engravings and photographs) making every effort to make noticeable the multidisciplinary approach of a versatile, demanding artist whose paintings perfectly show the Swedish society.
A very lovely exhibition that you should write down your “to-do list” to make your winter feel smoother!
