What better place than the Eiffel Tower for an exhibition of designer metal furniture...? To mark Paris Design Week, which runs from September 3 to 12, 2020, Mobilier national is pulling out all the stops and exhibiting a selection of metal furniture, each one more stylish than the last, on the second floor of the Iron Lady (no less). Entitled Métal & Design, the exhibition runs from September 3 to 8, 2020.
In all, some twenty pieces of"exceptional metal" furniture, all designed in the Mobilier National 'sAtelier de Recherche et de Création (ARC) since 1964, await design lovers for a one-of-a-kind experience. Created in collaboration with some twenty iconic design names from the last 50 years, these works"play with all the possibilities of the material, resonating with the Iron Lady's setting that welcomes them".
From Roger Fatus to François-Xavier Lalanne, via Isabelle Serre, Éric Gizard and Salomé de Fontainieu, come and discover the exceptional expertise of this national institution, as well as the vitality of contemporary artistic creation within the finest of showcases. A number of furniture prototypes will also be on display, along with films and photographs of the workshop. Shall we head for the Eiffel Tower, folks?
