Alexandre Benjamin Navet has been given carte blanche to reinvent the courtyard and garden of theNational Assembly. Come and discover the unusual creations of this French artist, through an exhibition presented from March 21 to June 3, 2023, in collaboration with the Galerie Derouillon. Please note that the exhibition is only accessible on Saturdays, and every day during the week of April 17 to 29, 2023.
This open-air exhibition is freely accessible to all curious people (upon registration via the website of the National Assembly). Visitors can stroll through the courtyard and garden of the Four Columns of the Palais Bourbon, discovering the five monumental sculptures installed there.
These brightly colored totems give us the impression of entering a dreamlike and fantastic universe. The artist's installations honor the decorative arts:Alexandre Benjamin Navet 's sculptures have strong and powerful lines, very worked and modern forms, very colorful sets... We also find in these totems several monumental vases, the signature piece of the artist, his favorite object revisited in several forms.
With his installations, the artist surprises: it is not so often that one can walk in the middle of totems, in the heart of Paris. And yet, the creations of the Frenchman do not stand out in the majestic setting of the Palais Bourbon: these contemporary works establish a dialogue with their environment, to enrich the landscape without obscuring it. Alexandre Benjamin Navet has sought to find abalance between the different works, but also between the works and their environment.
This open-air exhibition is therefore exceptional in more ways than one: it immerses us in the enchanted world of Alexandre Benjamin Navet, while allowing us to stroll through the courtyard and garden of the National Assembly. Register as soon as possible to discover this unique exhibition!
