When we talk about ceramics, you probably imagine, like us, vases, dishes or plates. But ceramics is much more than that! In the hands of artists, it can become an exceptional work of art that takes us into new worlds...
You don't believe us? Then come to theEspace Monte-Cristo to discover the exhibition Toucher Terre. Faced with this rich course of 50 ceramics made by French and international artists, we can only be charmed by these sculptures and these mini worlds. The theme of the earth is declined in different thematic chapters, from the raw material to the archaeology through the nourishing earth.
Primitive forests, mythical and enchanting beings, treasures hidden in the bowels of the earth, material to create... The earth is a fertile ground for creative minds: we find whole worlds, new universes or elements that make us appreciate nature, the earth we already know.
The artists gathered at the Espace Monte-Cristo play and experiment with all these possibilities, all these facets within their reach. These colorful sculptures and installations tell stories, bear witness to the traditions and skills of different cultures, and take us into innovative and whimsical worlds.
The exhibition Toucher Terre is open to all for free, don't miss it!
