Philippe Katerine is known for his zany and comical songs. But did you know that the artist is also a talented sculptor? Philippe Katerine reveals his creations in two exhibitions presented simultaneously in the West of Paris. Two complementary routes, between the 17th arrondissement and Clichy, to be discovered for free this summer.
Don't be surprised if, at the bend in the street, you come across a gigantic pink man, all in curves. These sculptures are the work of the artist Philippe Katerine. Nine characters are scattered along a long path, between the city hall of the 17th arrondissement, and the Pavillon Vendôme in Clichy.
These colorful creations perfectly illustrate the spirit and universe of the artist, who launched the movement of"Mignonism". This artistic movement honors the beauty, the aestheticism that illuminates the everyday. To embellish our everyday life, Philippe Katerine decided to bring his sculptures to us, to expose them to the sight of all, in the streets of Paris and Clichy, from June 19 to September 17, 2023.
This open-air exhibition continues at the Pavillon Vendôme, with a second exhibition. From June 28 to September 23, 2023, the artist presents various works in this freely accessible tour. Drawings, sculptures, videos, paintings: the mignonism is declined on many supports.
Are you ready to add a little cuteness to your daily life? Put on your sneakers, we're going to follow Philippe Katerine's footsteps in the West of Paris!
