A strange exhibition takes up residence within the walls of the Petit Palais... At the frontier between the marvelous, the fantastic and the abstract, artist Loris Gréaud draws us into his fabulous universe, from October 4, 2023 to January 14, 2024. Come and admire the exhibition Nuits corticales, and rediscover the Musée des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris as you've never seen it before!
You may remember Loris Gréaud, whose project enchanted the Louvre and Centre Pompidou in 2013. The artist from the Paris region is back in the capital's museums, for a new , unusual artistic experience, accessible free of charge.
Loris Gréaud deploys his installations in the aisles of the Petit Palais, transforming the entire art center. Moving sculptures, light installations, sound works, meteorological devices: the artist plays between universes, sensations and worlds to take us on a journey and blur our reference points in the real world.
In his monumental sculptures and delicate, disquieting, fascinating or regressive works, Loris Gréaud tells a thousand stories, feeding our imagination with these rich, inspiring creations.
The artist wants to touch all our senses, and take us on a journey without us even realizing it. Sounds, music and smells transport us to the world of art, to distant landscapes. In the garden, the installations change the Parisian microcosm, projecting fog, rain, snow... Each work comes alive for those who take the time to observe it, to let themselves be charmed...
Let us take you on a fabulous journey through the bowels of the Petit Palais, to discover the world of this contemporary artist. An intriguing and magical exhibition not to be missed this year!
