In this chilly November season, Le Mouffetard, Centre national de la Marionnette, is warming up to welcome a singular artistic performance. From November 16 to 26, Compagnie Les Maladroits ' audacious "Super Objets " installation will take you back to the world of comic strips.
These artists associated with Le Mouffetard, renowned for their ability to assemble and manipulate everyday objects in surprising ways, have this time created a giant three-dimensional comic strip. Imaginative and lively, this plastic installation brings to life the secret life of ordinary objects, breathing new poetic and humorous meaning into inanimate objects.
If objects could talk, what would they say? Under the creative hand of Les Maladroits, everyday objects come to life to share their feelings, evoking themes of wear and tear and fragility. The result is an installation in which various objects, from a sheet of white paper to knick-knacks gleaned from flea markets, play a key role in expressing a "secret life". It's an invitation to reconsider the materiality that surrounds us every day, and the theatrical potential of the object.
"Les Impromptus" are two solos performed by Valentin Pasgrimaud and Arno Wögerbauer, to be presented on November 17 and 18. These performances continue the dialogue with the object, exploring the opposition of a small village to a motorway construction, or rediscovering the sentimental itinerary of an individual. They pay homage to the object theater of the 1980s, with a touch of absurdity and the artisan spirit that characterized companies like Théâtre de Cuisine.
Based in Nantes since 2008, Compagnie Les Maladroits comprises Benjamin Ducasse, Valentin Pasgrimaud, Hugo Vercelletto and Arno Wögerbauer. All play an active role in their shows, and share a common passion for object theater. Drawing inspiration from our everyday reality, they create poignant stories that bring objects to life.
In short, the "Super Objets" event promises a passionate encounter between comics, object theater and everyday reality, all under the spotlights of contemporary Parisian urban theater. Get curious and don't miss this unique opportunity at the Centre national de la Marionnette du Mouffetard.
