Exhibitions, concerts, screenings, debates... Throughout the year, the Centre culturel irlandais opens its doors to all for a cultural immersion on the Emerald Isle. Let's take a closer look at this cultural institution, housed since 2002 in the Collège des Irlandais building in the heart of Paris's Latin Quarter.

In Paris, there are many cultural centers scattered all over the capital. Today, we're heading for the mythical Latin Quarter, to discover the Centre culturel irlandais. Throughout the year, this institution promotes Irish culture in Paris, and beyond, through a series of events open to all.

From concerts in the building's courtyard on the occasion of St. Patrick 's Day and the Fête de la musique, to exhibitions celebrating Irish history and artists from the Emerald Isle, screenings paying tribute to Irish filmmakers, debates, performances and literature... the programming at the Centre cultuel irlandais is rich and varied.

It has to be said that Ireland has no shortage of artists, and the cultural institution makes it a point of honor to introduce us to them in this sublime historic building, the Collège des Irlandais, located on rue des Irlandais. You can't make it up! It was here, in this former residence of a large Irish community of priests, seminarians and lay students, that the Centre culturel irlandais was inaugurated in 2002.

In this 18th-century building, the CCI - for those in the know - offers over a hundred diverse events a year, providing residencies for 40 artists a year and accommodation for almost 1,000 students.

The Irish Cultural Centre also houses a Chapel and a Heritage Library. The latter's collection includes " three illuminated medieval manuscripts ", says the institution on its official website. The CCI also boasts an exhibition hall, a media library, archive rooms, conference and meeting rooms, not to mention a beautiful 2,000 m² courtyard, a favorite with the first rays of sunshine.
