The opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games was marked by numerous events and characters that captured the hearts of the public: we remember, of course, the masked man, who fluttered across the rooftops of Paris, the beheaded Marie-Antoinettes at the Conciergerie, a blue and almost naked Philippe Katerine....

From February 8 to October 12, 2025, this horsewoman's exceptional costume is on show at the Palais Galliera. The outfit joins the exhibition Fashion in Motion #3, which looks at how sporting practices have influenced the world of fashion and clothing - and vice versa.
Imagined by Jeanne Friot (designer) and Robert Mercier (leather craftsman), this outfit should be one of the highlights of the artistic journey.
The costume is made up of several elements, designed both for aesthetics and spectacularity, but also for practicality: the rider embodying Sequana had to be able to move properly in this modern armor. The outfit includes a detachable hooded breastplate, a poacher, a bodysuit, boxer shorts, a pair of gloves and a pair of waders.
Visitors to the exhibition can admire this unique, made-in-France silhouette, which highlights the expertise of fashion designers and craftsmen.
