It’s part of the legendary monuments in Paris. Nestled in the 18th arrondissement, not far from the Butte Montmartre, today and after 130 years of existence, it keeps on making us dream and amazing us with its bright red façade. I’m obviously speaking about the famous Moulin Rouge.
Famous across the world, there are not many monuments celebrating their 130th anniversaries this year. Indeed, on October 6, 1889 at 8 p.m., the Moulin Rouge opened for the first time.
130 years later exactly, the Moulin Rouge prepares an exclusive event to proudly celebrate this anniversary.
On Sunday October 6, 2019, at 8 p.m., the Moulin Rouge will perform on its façade an exclusive light and sound show created by GL Events Audiovisual company, known for working with Lyon Fête des Lumières and the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
During this ten-minute show, children and adults can relive the 130 years of the Moulin Rouge thanks to never-seen-before pictures, a journey through its history, from its grand opening in 1889 to the current ‘Féerie’ show.
Last but not least, the 60 Moulin Rouge artists will perform, at the foot of the mill, the famous French Cancan, the whole enhanced by a flamboyant pyrotechnic show.
To discover this free event and celebrate the Moulin Rouge’s 130th anniversary, meet on October 6, 2019 at 8 p.m. sharp in front of the Parisian monument at the Place Blanche.
