Listed as historic monument, Royaumont Abbey was built between 1228 and 1235. Today, or 800 years later, discover this historic gem from the Middle Ages so well-preserved you feel like you are traveling back in time. Here, you discover the biggest Cistercian abbey in Île-de-France. Its beautiful gothic architecture fascinates as much as the remnants of the abbatial church.
This magnificent abbey is set in the heart of the beautiful green setting that the Parc Naturel Régional Oise-Pays de France is. The monument also unveils three remarkable gardens with very different atmospheres. In the middle, you have the garden of the cloister, a French formal garden designed in 1912 by Achille Duchêne.
You also have a Medieval-inspired garden, the garden of the 9 squares created in 2004 by Damée, Vallet & Associés Paysagistes reinforcing this feeling the place is untouched by time.
