Riding a merry-go-round or a rollercoaster while wearing a mask at Disneyland Paris… A constraining measure, although necessary amid Covid, but not very useful as it comes with issues, masks often slide and never stay put. But this measure is about to be lifted by the resort… And for good reason: the place announced in a release set to syndicates that facemask-wearing will be ditched, according to the latest announcements of the health minister, instated this past February 28, regarding the improvement of the health conditions in the country.
A measure officially announced on the resort’s website this March 1, 2022, and to be instated from March 2, although facemask-wearing remains highly recommended in some cases: “As of March 2, in line with French government guidance, face masks are no longer required at Disneyland Paris. They remain recommended for experiences such as our parade and nighttime spectacular Disney Illuminations”, it reads.
What does it mean? That now, you can walk the park, queue and ride without your mask on! A mask that yet remains recommended in crowded places such as parades, gatherings, nighttime shows, and queues. Measures also to be applied in hotels of the resort, Disney Village and restaurants and bars.
Please note the easing of measures is made possible in compliance with the government’s guidelines, on the condition to show a vaccine pass, a criterion the theme park fills. The vaccine pass is compulsory in France for anyone over 16 years of age (12 for the health pass).
