The European Archaeology Days, organized by Inrap under the aegis of the French Ministry of Culture, invite young and old alike to discover behind-the-scenes archaeology through educational activities, meetings and visits in the company of researchers, at the ARCHÉA museum, on June 17 and 18, 2023. An opportunity to discover the heritage and history of the Val d'Oise, thanks to the current exhibition and a hike in the Croult valley.
Visit the Château d'Orville site and enjoy an experimental archaeology presentation on medieval baking on Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. Aurélie Chantran, PhD in archaeology and in charge of excavations on the site, is interested in traces of food on medieval ceramics. She will be on hand to present her research.
Visit and play around the "Patrimoine à la carte, à la découverte de Roissy Pays de France"exhibition ,Saturday from 11am to 6pm (flash visits available on request) and Sunday from 2pm to 6pm ( continuous guided tours with the exhibition curator) .The exhibition highlights the rich and diverse heritage of the 42 communes thatmake up the agglomeration . Therewill also be games for families aged 4 and over.
