This unique experience, conceived by theSilenzio agency and Publicis Media, offers you the chance to experience an unprecedented moment of surprise and thrill, to be discovered from inside the carriages of line 9, between République and Strasbourg-Saint Denis (towards Pont deSèvres).
Among the mysteries of Paris are the famous ghost metro stations. One of them, the Saint-Martin station on line 9 between République and Strasbourg-Saint Denis, is coming to life until August 2. For a few days, this former station has been transformed into a Haunted Mansion, a spooky place that will take visitors in search of a thrill by surprise.
This unusual transformation unveils a 75-metre-long stretched canvas reproducing the Haunted Mansion corridor, with its main characters in portrait form. The key attraction is a ghostly bride who greets passengers. An ephemeral experience that lasts just 15 seconds, but promises to be unforgettable.
The Haunted Mansion, meanwhile, is a Disney adventure comedy, to be released exclusively in cinemas on July 26. The film tells the story of a mother and son who hire a team of pseudo-experts to help them hunt down the various ghosts and spectres haunting their home. The impressive cast includes LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Chase W. Dillon, Dan Levy, Jamie Lee Curtis and Jared Leto.
As for Saint-Martin station, it's one of the last five "ghost" metro stations in Paris. Opened in 1931 on line 8, it was closed in 1939, then definitively in 1968, due to low traffic levels. Since then, it has regularly been used as a stage for advertising productions, as is the case here.
So, will you dare to discover this ephemeral Haunted Mansion on your next metro journey? Don't forget, this experience runs until August 2, 2023.
