Yes, you're not dreaming: the Parc Zoologique de Paris (or Zoo de Vincennes, if you prefer) is offering you the chance to spend a special moment with its herd of giraffes- the largest in Europe - over breakfast. You'll eat breakfast, of course, but more importantly, you'll be given a guided tour of the giraffe building, see the giraffes being fed and meet the giraffe caretakers...
During this unusual experience, you'll get up close and personal with the animals, even before they enter their enclosure (but without touching them, for reasons of safety and animal welfare), and above all, it's the perfect opportunity to learn everything you need to know about giraffes! You'll learn all about this long-necked animal: lifestyle, history, special features, characteristics, diet... But above all, you'll have the chance to meet Adeline, Arianna, Aurore, Adèle and Rhywell, the female giraffes (sometimes they're also the males, depending on the day) by taking part in this unusual breakfast, offered all year round, on certain Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sunday mornings, from 3 years upwards.
Did you know? It was not far from the Parc Zoologique de Paris, at the Menagerie du Jardin des Plantes, that the very first giraffe set foot (well, hoof) in France in 1827, when it was presented to Charles X, King of France at the time, by Mehemet Ali, Viceroy of Ottoman Egypt.
For this extraordinary breakfast, which you'll remember for a long time, you'll pay €60 per adult over 13 (reduced rate €50) and €45 per child (3 to 12, reduced rate €35). Admission to the Parc Zoologique is included in the price of the breakfast, so make the most of it and spend the day at the zoo afterwards!
