Embark for a morning of unforgettable adventure at the Parc Zoologique de Paris and become an apprentice animal keeper, discovering how the animals of the most Parisian of zoos are cared for, fed and pampered! Whether you're a family ( aged 6 and over) or a group of enthusiasts, the Paris Zoo offersyou the chance to discover in small groups (maximum 6 people) what the day-to-day life of its animal caretakers is like, and toexplore behind-the-scenes areas of the zoo not usually seen on a tour.
Since many animal caretakers work at the Parc Zoologique de Paris on a daily basis, you'll have to choose which department you'd like to learn your trade in: with Madagascar lemurs, manatees (large marine mammals) and Amazonian fish, birds in the large aviary and tropical greenhouse , or the vivarium and its many lizards, snakes, turtles and amphibians! The program for these extraordinary mornings includes not only a guided tour by the caretakers, but also the opportunity to prepare and take part in the feeding of certain species, access to the breeding rooms (for the vivarium), the caretakers' areas (for the birds and manatees), and to watch thelemurs being enriched...
While you certainly won't be touching any of the animals (for animal welfare reasons), you will have the opportunity to see them up close and observe them from private areas, usually reserved for the caretakers. Count on €85 per adult and €55 per child to take part in one of these exceptional moments at the Parc Zoologique de Paris, bearing in mind that admission to the zoo for the rest of the day is included! It's the perfect way to become a zookeeper's apprentice for a morning.
