Bois d'Attilly Zoo (77), a visit to discover wild animals from around the world

Near Ferolles-Attilly, in the Seine-et-Marne département, a huge animal reserve welcomes you all year round to discover tigers, giraffes, savannah animals and other wild species in a preserved area.

Since 1966, the Bois d'Attilly zoo has been home to many species of wildlife: in fact, it's one of the oldest zoos in the Île-de-France region! Spanning over 20 hectares, you'll have the opportunity to observe species from all over the world, with over 500 residents living in this zoological park.

During your visit - which you're advised to take the whole day for, to allow time to tour all the enclosures - you'll discover no fewer than 500 wild animals, from five of the seven continents of our planet. Large mammals, exotic birds, giraffes, wolves, chimpanzees, hippos, meerkats, bison... Come and meet the polar fox, theblack bear or the capybara, and don't miss the animal snacks, a privileged moment with their caretakers to learn more about each species. Every day, we explain what's on the menu for wolves, giraffes and hippos, in the company of those who look after the animals on a daily basis. In 2024, the zoo will also welcome collared peccaries, a herbivorous species native to America, and Nilgauts, another herbivorous species, this time from Asia.

Budding animal caretakers can even go behind the scenes of the profession by taking part in the Soigneur d'un jour activity, for a special morning with the animals. Picnic tables are available on site throughout the day.

The Bois d'Attilly zoo is open all year round, on weekends and Wednesdays during school terms, and all week during vacation periods. It is also open on public holidays. Opening times vary according to the season, so be sure to check before you come! Admission is €20 per adult, €16.50 per teenager (aged 12 to 18) and €13 per child (aged 3 to 11), with no charge for children under 3.
