After opening its dens to the general public, allowing the most adventurous among us to spend the night like real explorers, up close and personal with the bears, Thoiry Zoo is now offering the general public the chance to sleep in one of its Loudges, to live up close and personal with the wolves for a night.
In September 2023, the zoo inaugurated the new Terres d'Afrique lodges, designed to enable you to observe elephants as closely as possible during your stay: now, the zoo is once again expanding its range of unusual accommodation and offering an overnight stay as close as possible to wolves. A terrible animal from fairy tales, often demonized yet little-known, the wolf remains a fascinating mammal.
So, for an unusual experience close to the wolves, the Zoo is inaugurating its new Loudges from June 15, 2024: in each loudge, you'll find a bedroom, a kitchenette, a shower room and a lounge area with a panoramic view of the arctic wolves' territory. All the accommodation has been built using natural materials, to blend in perfectly with its surroundings.
During your stay, you'll also be able to take part in a range of awareness-raising workshops: discover the biology of the wolf, the history of the species and its distribution around the world, how a pack works...
To spend a night in one of Thoiry Zoo's Loudges, you'll need to pay €405 per person (from), bearing in mind that the experience includes tickets for two days at the zoo, overnight accommodation, entertainment, dinner and breakfast.
