The weather is definitely capricious and unpredictable. After several wet weeks, a new record for mild weather was set in France on March 18, with temperatures soaring to 24°C in places. Since then, colder temperatures have returned, and a new disturbance is forecast for the coming days. So what can we expect over the long weekend in Paris and the Île-de-France region?
With Easter Monday on the horizon, many French people are planning to make the most of their three-day weekend, also marked by the time change. But will the weather be on their side? According to forecasts by Météo France and La Chaîne Météo, egg hunts could well be spoiled by several showers. On the other hand, the weather should be mild.
We'll start with Saturday, March 30, when grey skies are forecast throughout the day and across the whole of the Paris region. The day is likely to start with rain, particularly in Yvelines, Val-d'Oise andEssonne. In the afternoon, the weather should be drier, but the skies will remain very cloudy before the return of showers forecast for the evening. As for temperatures, expect between 10°C and 13°C in the morning, then between 17°C and 20°C in the afternoon.
On Sunday March 31, 2024, the weather won't be much more generous, as skies will remain overcast throughout the day in Paris and the Île-de-France region. Rain is expected to return to the Ile-de-France region on Sunday evening. Temperatures are expected to remain mild, ranging from 7°C to 11°C in the morning, then from 15°C to 20°C in the afternoon.
Finally, can we expect the sun to shine on Monday, April 1, a public holiday? Unfortunately, according to Météo France forecasts, the skies are likely to remain overcast once again this Easter Monday, with rain forecast for the morning and afternoon. Temperatures, meanwhile, will remain stable and mild, between 8°C and 12°C in the morning, then between 15°C and 18°C in the afternoon.
Of course, these forecasts are subject to confirmation over the coming days. So stay tuned! But one thing's for sure: whatever the weather, there's still plenty to do this long weekend!
