Do you like walking? Great, let's set off for 14 kilometers on September 29, 2024, to take on the heights of Montreuil and Noisy-le-Sec, and discover a host of exciting cultural sites.

Contrary to popular belief, the Seine-Saint-Denis département is full of little cultural nuggets worth discovering, and lush green paths to stroll along. La Grande Rando is a walk of almost 14 kilometers, organized for the past six years to take you over the heights of the towns of Montreuil, Noisy-le-Sec and Les Lilas. On September 29, 2024, you can choose between several departures from 9am to 10:30am, following in the footsteps of the Le Grand Chemin development project, the green loop of eastern Paris.

If you take the whole route, you'll start at Parc Jean Moulin Les Guilands, straddling the border between Bagnolet and Montreuil, before heading for the heights of Montreuil and Parc des Beaumonts. Next, a foray into the town of Fontenay-sous-Bois in the Val-de-Marne to discover the Carrières eco-park, which will be celebrating the last day of its land art festival. Before the picnic break, discover and demonstrate board sports in a skate park.

Picnic at Parc Montreau, an English-style park where you can discover the Living History Museum. The walk continues along the foothills of the Fort de Rosny-sous-Bois before crossing the A86 motorway and railroad lines. After passing through the Parc Jean Decesari with its breathtaking views and vineyards, you can enter the big top of the Ecole Nationale des Arts du Cirque, before skirting the golf course and descending towards the roof of Domus.

End of the walk at Parc des Guillaumes in Noisy-le-Sec with an exhibition, refreshments and an artistic and poetic surprise! A chance to discover theevolution of these parks and sites, which are set to change even more between now and 2030, when the route of the Grand Chemin is expected to be 55 kilometers long! Don't forget to bring something to eat if you want to take part in the picnic. If you prefer to walk a little less, you can take part in only part of the hike!
