Festival des Lanternes 2024: the dinosaur ball, the Jardin d'Acclimatation light trail

Calling all budding paleontologists and fans of magical outings - after dazzling over 165,000 visitors in 2023 with its magical Shanghai lanterns, the Dragons and Lanterns Festival is passing the torch ... to the dinosaurs! From November 29, 2024 to March 2, 2025, these legendary creatures will take to the aisles of the Jardin d'Acclimatation, just in time for the festive season and the end-of-year illuminations. A winning combo for a winter that's both magical and ... prehistoric.

Over 6 hectares of glittering walkways, 100 dinosaurs come back to life under the stars thanks to 2,000 lanterns, transforming the Parisian theme park into a veritable journey through time! Fierce tyrannosaurs, agile velociraptors, gigantic triceratops and diplodocus ... 40 species of titans from the Mesozoic era are presented in 24 illuminated scenes: a mother protecting her young, a breathless hunt or an epic battle. But beware! Some specimens may well try to munch a curious onlooker or two along the way (well ... not really, but you never know!).

To prolong the adventure, head for Jurassic Island and 360° XPérience. The program includes an immersive VR experience for a thrilling face-to-face encounter with these titans, and a 360° film that transports you into their world.

To top it all off, a brand-new Ferris wheel lifts you into the air to admire the illuminated dinos and a panoramic view of Paris by night: the Louis Vuitton Foundation, the Arc de Triomphe, La Défense and the Bois de Boulogne. These new attractions remain exceptionally open in the evening, during the festival, and are available in addition to the admission ticket.

After the exploration, it's time for the foodcourt! 15 gourmet chalets take you on a world tour of flavors, from regional specialties (raclette, tartiflette, crêpes, waffles, pretzels, mulled wine, grilled meats ...) to Asian classics (spring rolls, gyoza ravioli, Phô soup, Bánh mì, chicken fri, kimchi ...). Enough to warm up your evening!
