The Jardin d'Acclimatation is one of the favorite amusement parks of little Parisians. At the gateway to Paris, just a few minutes from the exit of metro line 1 - Les Sablons station, this amusement park offers plenty of activities for (young) Parisians.
The Jardin d'Acclimatation offers a wide range of rides for young and old alike. A total of 42 attractions, including 17 new ones with 4 large roller-coasters, 500 animals (exotic birds, goats, rabbits, mouflons), 16 restaurants and 18 hectares of nature await you. Including the brand-new Toupie, which opened its doors on April 2, 2022.
These facilities were revamped in 2018, following major work by the LVMH group, which invested 60 million euros to recreate a space capable of competing with major Parisian theme parks on the outskirts.
The aim of the work was not only to install the new family attractions, but also to restore Napoleon III's architectural heritage and rediscover the historic layout designed by the Emperor's landscape architect, Barillet-Deschamp, in order to offer us an exceptional walking area.
The 18 hectares of natural surroundings have been redesigned to blend in with the attractions. The result is a verdant park where nature is still very much present. Large expanses of grass are ideal for relaxing in the sun, while the small farm invites children to meet the animals.
Between the green spaces, the site's rides and attractions offer thrills for young children, from 1 year upwards. For a trip back in time, the attractions are designed in a retro-futuristic Steampunk style, a marriage between the worlds of Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings, or between Jules Verne and Victor Cabret.
The park's emblematic dragon takes on a new look, and the roller coasters take on the appearance of steam engines. New features include a 12-metre-high bobsleigh with an airplane turbine look, and flying boats.
It's a new wind blowing through the Jardin d'Acclimatation, and we haven't finished talking about it, since the group is planning no fewer than 500 events and activities throughout the year. Enough to make the place vibrate and entertain us in this green lung we love so much.
In summer, water games are part of the fun. So we're off to take advantage of the fountains and misters available for fun and refreshment.
